Water and boats

It was nice and warm yesterday - but the paddling pool has been changed into a water trough for the pet sheep while we caught as much rain as we could ... didn't stop us though as it was still next to the deck.  We decided we'd make some boats in activity time.  The wonders of egg cartons.  What I didn't realise however - was how quickly they absorbed water and turned soggy ... oh well, it was a fun time making them and putting htem onto the water.  Next time we'll try something that'll float.
