Normal Stuff

It's been a week for us of settling back into the swing of things after holiday.  We've been glue to the internet after the Christchurch quakes and are thankful that all those we know and love done there are ok.
The first photo is the Explorer Vest pattern from Ravelry, made for Gawain.  I'd finished Byrn's vest a couple of weeks earlier and he was very patient in waiting for his one to be finished as well.  He is into helping me with the vacuuming at the moment, although he has to wear his earmuffs - he loves these and will play all sorts of games with them.  Mainly mowing the lawns.
Both boys are into the correspondance kindy puzzles, I like them because there is no set pattern, so they are very achievable and allow the imagination to be used.
Melinda loves sitting at the table with us now, and can happily climb up and down the wooden highchair safely, she's often the first to clamber into the highchair for morning tea.  Dinner is still less messy to have her in the plastic chair with a tray - but our baby girl is growing up so fast!!
