Wouter was lucky to get off work last week Thursday and we visited his old boss Brian and their family at Wanganui Beach ... it was a great day, we left around 5am and Gawain slept the entire trip (2.5 hrs). We were treated to bacon and eggs on the BBQ for breakfast ... then we went with Brain across the beach to check the set net. They caught 6 flounder which were cooked up on the BBQ for lunch. So yummy fresh!! In the afternoon Gawain slept in his buggy while Wouter went with Brian and the kids fishing. They didn't catch anything, so we'll have to go back again later :0) I took Gawain down to the beach after dressing him in his new togs
BUT it was so windy he just stayed sleeping in his buggy. The beach has very black sand ...
By the end of the day we had one tired Papa and son ...
On Saturday we went to my parents and after forgetting the nappy bag they came around on Sunday and dropped off the playpen ... we have set it up and yesterday Wouter decided he'd climb in to keep Gawain company and give him cuddles -
Last night we were at our friends and Gawain tried out their jolly jumper - which we were then allowed to borrow (THANK YOU KARIN!!!!) Here he is this morning having a little turn .. he is quite fascinated with being able to see around a bit more, means he has a change from lying on the floor.
His sleeping is slowly improving ... so lets hope it stays that way!!
Hope you are all good ... we're looking forward to our birthdays this week, Gawain has his Papa's present all bought and wrapped up already, and i"m looking forward to all the girls coming around for lunch on my birthday (a tradition we have!)
