Summer Time

Although the weather has been changable it is definatly summer. Today it was warmer outside than inside by 9am.

Wouter has been super busy with the farm work this week. The shearers have come from Wednesday till Saturday, so he has been starting at 5.30am and finishing around 7pm most nights. He has slept like a log each night, I am constantly amazed that he sleeps through Gawain's yangeling. Today he is shearing our pet lambs, I reckon they will look very different with their wool off.

We finally managed to get rid of the last two pups ... pretty much had to give them away, but at least they have gone to a nice new home.

Gawain has figured out how to start the music of his play gym. He is lieing under it at the moment. He has been a right monkey in the past week and is still giving us lots of trouble with waking every 45mins-1.5hr at night, meaning one very tired and grouchy Mama by 6am. However, he sleeps wonderfully during the day in our bed, and will sleep happily in our bed once fed... so I think we will be getting a cot with a harder mattress for him before very long. He has nearly outgrown the bassinet anyway. Here is him fast asleep in our bed yesterday morning... Photobucket

WE started him on some solids to see if that helped his sleeping through the night, it didn't, so we've stopped that BUT he did sorta take to it, managing to get most around his mouth and on the bib ... Photobucket

He is amazingly goofy when you talk to him, he loves to laugh back at you when you laugh at him, he can get quite chatty when he's in the mood. It is nice to have more interaction with him Photobucket

I am finding it funny not having to do preparation work for school this year, BUT with Mr.G not sleeping I think i would be too tired to anyway :-)
We have nothing much planned for the next few weeks of summer. Wouter is still job hunting, please keep us in your prayers for that, that we will find a job that enables us to stay in the area for church, friends and family.
