Full on Week

Warning: Graphic Pictures ... scroll down if you want to avoid them

Sadly one of the farms Wouter works on had a disaster this week with the woolshed burning down. Wouter had spent that day working on all the sheep, crutching them ready for shearing. However that night the shed burnt down with approximately 900 sheep inside. All the sheep's lambs were outside, so they have been weaned an extra month early. It has been absolutely gutting for the farm owner and everyone involved.

On a happier note, we went fishing today ... Gawain's first trip to Lake Ferry!
Wouter caught 12 red cod, although we only took 3 home, the others got let go as we didn't need that many. Gawain slept in his buggy and I fed him in the car once it got a bit windy. In the first photo if you look closely to the top right of the photo you can see the snow on the mountain of the South Island

After this we went to Grandma and Grandad Kleinjans as they were having a birthday party celebration. Wouter got to sight his gun in and play 4WD in the landrover. I joined him when they went to play in the river to clean the mud off, but it was a tad freaky for me. Oma Kleinjan (Dad's mum) was there also so we got a four generation photo

I think that is probably enough photos for one day! Have more that I'll put on early next week. Hope everything is well for everyone in all parts of the world. Would love to see people over in NZ if you're planning holidays  :) Nah, seriously though, missing everyone lots ... especially as it is coming up to Christmas ... hard to belive it is nearly a year ago since we were in Holland. Looking forward to hearing from you.
