Our boss found a deer wandering in a paddock close to the house on Thursday. When it walked up to him quite happily he figured that it wasn't a wild one that could be made into steak. So the local SPCA has been rung, but until then we get the fun of having a pet deer around the farm. She is a small fallow deer, probably quite young. Her eyes are very gentle and she really doesn't mind people giving her pats or a scratch.
Wouter and I with the deer - I tend to rug up before going outside on the motorbike, hence the thick jacket and hat, even though the sun was shining. We were on our way to do the rubbish (putting the weeks worth into the big hole on the other side of the farm).
