Why?

I've been doing some wondering lately ... why do we do things?  Do we do them because we want too?  Because we feel we should?  Because if we don't, people will get grouchy because they think we should?  Because society says we should?  If we don't - you feel labeled like a bad parent/child/husband or wife?

Take for example playing with your kids if you have any ... do you play with them because you like building things out of duplo or zooming tiny cars around ... do you play with them because you like watching their faces ... do you play with them because you know it's good for them OR do you play with them because that's just what parents do ... why do we play with them?

Or how about birthday's and holidays ... do you buy presents to tell a person how much you love and appreciate them in a different way than words can OR are you busy buying and wrapping and stressing because that is what everyone does at this time of year and that's just the way it is?  Do you suck things up and just grin and bare it or do you take a stand and make a difference?  Do you become the odd one out or do you choose to blend into the crowd?

Anyways ... just my musings ... I miss writing JUST because ... so this post doesn't have any cutsy pics of the kids ... maybe in the morning if I get time.  But my new washing machine is arriving tomorrow afternoon so I do have a massive laundry clean planned (kid co-operation dependant) so no promises.

So ... that's that ... leave me a comment about why you do things ...
